The following items were discussed.
1. Engagement with subcontractors through health champion sites.
To date one has taken place with a second planned for 8 April 2009. The remaining champion sites have also been invited to take part. The general consensus is that this has been a useful interface.
2.Cancer Leaflet
This is almost nearing completion and it will be ready very shortly.
3. Champions Event
The agenda for this event was discussed and both David Wallace and Jim Leitch made suggestions as to the format. New major contractors will be invited to become health champions and a further signing will take place.
4. BuildHealth website
The website continues to attract a steady number of unique visits each month with figures for February showing 530.
5.Management Plan Review
The Management Plan has been reviewed with the aim of making it more user friendly. The new Management Plan will be placed on the website shortly and will be shared with the new champion sites.
6.Any Other Business
Information on carbon monoxide will be available by specialist inspector at the next meeting.
- Jim Leitch will be submitting the work of BuildHealth for an award under the Business in the Community Award Scheme for corporate social responsibility.
- David Wallace will be making a presentation at the Spring Conference and will include a reference to BuildHealth.
- David Wallace continues to be involved with the Safety Certificate Scheme and he is promoting the benefits of the health element.
- Updated reports were received from the health champions.
- The arrangements for payment of the website were discussed and it was agreed that the cost would be forwarded to Ciaran Fox.
The date of the next meeting is 3 June 2009.
